The Great
Debate on Revelation - Post Debate Analysis
Guests:
Mark Hitchcock, Tommy Ice with interviews with Tim LaHaye
In this series of the
John Ankerberg
Show, from Dallas, Texas,
you will hear the Great Debate on the Book of Revelation, a debate between Dr.
Mark Hitchcock and Mr. Hank Hanegraaff. This debate centered on the question,
"When Was the Book of Revelation Written?" Did the apostle John write the book
of Revelation in 95 A.D during the reign of Domitian as the church has
traditionally held for 1900 years, or was it written before 65 A.D during the
reign of Nero? Are the events recorded in Revelation still to be fulfilled in
the future, or have all of the events mentioned in Revelation already been
fulfilled in 70 A.D.? Dr. Mark Hitchcock, represented the view that Revelation
was written in 95AD and therefore the events recorded in Revelation are still in
the future, while Mr. Hank Hanegraaff of CRI, represented the view that all of
the events described in Revelation 1 through 20:6 were fulfilled before 70 A.D.
and therefore will not take place in the future. During these programs you will
also hear excerpts from Dr. Ankerberg’s interview before the debate with Tim
LaHaye, co-author of the best-selling
Left Behind series, and
post-debate analysis of key questions with Dr. Tommy Ice, Executive Director of
The Pre-Trib Research Center and Dr. Mark Hitchcock.
