Guest: Dr. John Warwick Montgomery
Program
1:
Is Christianity different from all the other
religions in that it can be verified? Can a person can check out the evidence
for its claims before they jump into it? Tell us what you mean.
"Do we have
accurate information about this person Jesus Christ?"
Christianity says that Jesus
Christ is God. The question is, "Is He" Is there any evidence to back that up?
And what kind of evidence is there?
Program
2:
If you're a thinking person, Christianity has always said
you do not have to throw your mind away to become a Christian. You can
investigate it from the outside and come to a conclusion with your head: "This
is the truth." Here is the evidence to back this up.
Program
3:
Historical evidence, scientific evidence, evidence from
just everyday reason, that will bring you to a conclusion that, namely, that He
(Jesus) is God; He actually lived; He did things that verified His claim to
being God. This program covers the topic of the resurrection of Jesus
Christ.
Program
4:
In this program, Dr. Montgomery,
talks about the resurrection, He comments [Hugh] Schonfield's book called The
Passover Plot. His theory and why historically it doesn't measure, doesn't
square with the facts. He also deals with some higher criticism of the New
Testament.
Program
5:
What view of the Bible should a
person who embraces Jesus Christ and acknowledges Him to be very God have?
What was Jesus' view of the Scripture. What is Jesus' view of the Old Testament?
Program
6:
Dr. Montgomery answers the person who says:
"Listen, I don't believe that there is any evidence that even suggests that God
exists. But I'm not an `ornery' atheist, I'm an `ordinary' atheist who is open
to hearing the evidence
Program 7:
This
program covers a topic that is probably one of the major
stumbling blocks for the unbeliever to embrace the God of the Bible, and it has
to do with the problem of Evil.
